Walk Ratings and Advice

Walk ratings help you identify the type of walk that you'd like to do. The walk ratings are designed to provide a rating of difficulty and suitability for the individuals level of fitness.
Whilst certain parameters are used to identify appropriate ratings, it's important to recognise that these ratings are based on the authors experience (with the particular walk), fitness level and general knowledge and as such, you may find the walks easier, or more difficult than the rating described. Apart from identifying the walk rating that suits you, it's important to read the walk article to obtain a good understanding of the nature of the walk you have chosen to do.
Fitness level ratings are based on walk fitness and the ability to carry a pack. All walks should be read in conjunction with the disclaimer page, which also provides practical advice on staying safe. Enjoy your walk!
